Covid-19
As of the 31st March 2020 we are continuing to operate as normal albeit with some restrictions in regards to Social Distancing etc.
As part of our BCP we have re-positioned staff either to work from home or by working in separate offices on separate floors. Drivers and warehouse teams have had their start times staggered and we’re restricting the number of individuals in any one place in the building as per the Government’s guidelines.
We are conducting daily discussions within the team to review volumes and customers requirements and are adapting accordingly. We would urge all of our customers to provide our drivers with adequate toilet and sanitary facilities whilst on their sites to facilitate hand washing etc.
The lockdown situation in Ireland seems to be following the same trend as the UK with travel restrictions for the population to try and slow the spread of the disease. We would urge all of our customers to ensure that their Consigness to whom they are shipping consignments are open and able to receive the goods. Shipments that are presented and fail due to closure will be subject to re-delivery charges.
I am sure that you will be aware that Public Health England and the Government predict that the situation will worsen over the coming weeks and consequently service levels may be impacted. We would ask for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.
